Owning a Medium account always affords you the right to be creative and to utilize it on your content of choice, maximally. However, one of the biggest concerns for an ardent user of Medium is if they can have multiple accounts to create different content on different topics. The answer is yes.

Medium is a unique and inventive writing platform for authors and bloggers. It always gives its users the room to be creative and to explore their topic. Multiple Medium accounts are permitted. Using different email addresses, you can establish multiple accounts. This is entirely in line with the terms and policies of Medium.

Are you thinking of creating multiple Medium accounts?

You can have two Medium accounts if you wish to begin writing about a completely different niche. You can access unlimited Medium member-only articles by using the first account while also utilizing other accounts to update your account.

The Second Account is in accordance with the terms and conditions of Medium, and cannot be used to bully, and will be automatically banned when clapping or spamming other users. And if Medium bans your first account for infringing its regulations, you will do all you can to ban other accounts that you create to bypass your decision.

Some benefits of creating multiple accounts on Medium:

Following are some of the benefits of creating more than one Medium account.

1. You have the benefit of anonymity:

Many Medium writers and journalists begin to publish content using their real names. This will help them to gain popularity and fame among readers of their content. It also opens them to more promotion or largely contributes to their publication history.  However, authors often desire to create a second account after getting more comfortable with the platform.

The second account might be created using a pen name, which preserves the writer's anonymity. With this, writers have the opportunity to write on whatever they feel like while their identity is being protected.  Many writers on Medium have particularly loved the freedom to write unique content on a second account.

You can create multiple sources of income through diversifying your writing across Medium accounts:

Having multiple Medium accounts will give you the freedom to write different contents of your choice. It will also help you get different audiences for each of the topics you write about.

Take, for instance, your first account is focused on Tech content, and your audience will be tech enthusiasts or anyone who takes an interest in reading about tech and their innovation. If you decide to start writing content about food, you will lose your audience. This is where you need to take the bold step to create a new account.

As a prolific Medium writer, it could be helpful to separate your articles from several niche topics to avoid offending your audience (and causing them to ignore your entire account since they do not wish to read any of your articles). This shouldn't be your case. Do not forget that Medium has a Mute function where readers can mute any author they do not want to read or see.

While creating multiple accounts, you must note how hard it is to build followership and get readers who are interested in your content.  But you can blend the articles (from your numerous accounts) and develop your following slowly but steadily while better offering the users' content they want.

You can create more Medium publications:

As I explained above, we have seen how we can create multiple accounts on Medium and how you can get different audiences for your various content. One other thing to note is that Medium limits every user to create seven publications on their account. How then can you bypass this rule and write as many articles as you want? Creating multiple accounts is the answer.

Make sure that you add yourself as an editor to the new publication. The editors all have the same authorization as the owner of the articles. You have successfully gained the rights and copyright of the new publication.

You can also control your multiple accounts from an account. Is that not awesome? At least you will not get carried away from other accounts that you own.

You can use one Medium account to link with others:

If controlling multiple accounts is a load of work for you, you can use the accounts as an admin account. This will let you monitor the other accounts without having to log in and out at intervals. Your publications will appear professional, and they will also be easy to navigate.

How to create another Medium account?

Creating a second (or third) medium account is almost similar to someone who starts his first medium blog. When creating a second account, there are a few things to remember:

  • Multiple medium accounts tied to one email cannot be created. So you need a second email address to open a second medium account.

  • To receive payments, each Medium account needs its Stripe account.

  • You may log in with individual browsers to any account. Otherwise, your accounts must be logged in and logged out repeatedly.

In conclusion

Medium permits users with numerous accounts to develop and operate. It only depends on the type of content you generate.
